Bratwurst - very nice - looks like a very subtle sketch filter applied. Can you elaborate on that technique a bit. Very crisp lighting as well. What type of GI did you use?

            Again awesome technique. Great job.

            Regards Peter.

it looks as if you've used vray toon with some sort of soft pencil texturemap... am i close?

it's very nicely done - wish i'd thought of doing that!

come on... give us a hint!

It’s the new train station (among other things) in the winter resort Åre, Sweden. Construction is under way and will be completed mid 2006 (probably).

All modeled in MAX from architectural DWG-drawings, rendered in VRay using quasi for both primary and secondary and color reduced in PS.

                No sketch filter used.

                Thanks

do you mind telling me what is the texture map you've used for the grey tones?
is it just a noise map?

i think this style of rendering works really well and i'd love to do something similar on a project i'm working on in the new year...

I want to live in sweden... just for the architecture. Reason I left architecture is because design in the US is horrible.

Anyway, nice renders, awesome modeling, great repesentation of style and design.

You must be referring to the concrete texture I used. I have loads of those and don’t remember what map I used for this project. They all look the same (almost).

Regarding the sketchy look. I forgot in my last reply but I used some filter in PS that may have boosted the edges a little. I think it was filter/sketch/photocopy..
